FAQ

1. About coaching

Coaching is a process in which the coach supports the personal or professional development of the coachee as an equal partner.
The coach helps the coachee:
- to articulate their goals,
- to explore their obstacles (focusing on the present and future rather than frequently examining reasons rooted in the past),
- to gather resources for change,
- to find their own possible solutions and answers.
The coach provides assistance, but the desire for change must come from the coachee.

2. How is this different from consulting, training, or therapy?

Most importantly, it is based on an equal partnership. The coach does not give advice and primarily does not teach (although there are techniques that they can demonstrate and explain if the client finds them useful).

The foundation of the method is attentive listening and asking the right questions to make the client think and help them move past their obstacles.

A coaching session mainly focuses on the present and the future. Deep-seated traumas or blockages rooted in the past may be identified, which would normally fall under the domain of psychology, but within the framework of coaching, these are not explored in depth.

3. What are the main advantages of coaching?

The process is slightly different for every person, yet clients report many similar experiences. Thanks to coaching, they have increased:
- their basic confidence, energy, and courage to surpass their own limits and overcome emerging obstacles
- their sense of freedom and satisfaction in their work and/or personal life
- their stress tolerance and their ability to define and achieve success on their own terms
- the speed of their development, enabling them to progress more focused and enjoyably than they could have on their own

4. How should I prepare for the first session?

Be open and motivated.
Think about your life situation and the things that are holding you back. What do you want to change? Whether it's about work or your personal life.
And of course, it's totally fine if you can't put it into words—I'll help, we'll figure it out together.
All you need to do is be there and be yourself.
